MetroPCS Communications Inc., an US based prepaid wireless service along with Mountain Dew, a carbonated soft drink brand has signed a one-year long partnership with Impractical Jokers, an American comedy reality series premiered on TruTV.

The series revolves around four friends, who challenge each other with a series of awkward and outrageous dares.

Under the partnership, MetroPCS will sponsor Impractical Jokers Live: Nitro Circus Spectacular,  wherein the four friends will compete with each other and try to complete a four-part obstacle course and the loser i.e. the one who refuses to do the dare or the one who fails to fulfil the dare will endure punishment. The special show will be broadcasted live from the Prudential Center in Newark.

The partnership also includes rights for ad deals which will extend beyond the show's fifth season and will with further include live events and on-the-ground experiences in the coming year.

The brands will run commercials during the show's ad breaks and also integrate it into episodes while TruTV will produce branded content that will be made live across traditional, digital and social platforms.

Live events include a 2017 tour, sponsored by the undisclosed resort marketer, who is also a partner in the deal and a block party at the San Diego Comic-Con next July, which will be sponsored by Mountain Dew.
