Sesame Workshop debuts its Sesame Road album on vinyl

Entertainment One, a Canadian multinational media distribution company has partnered with Sesame Workshop, an American non-profit organization behind the production of several educational children's programs to release Sesame Road to mark Record Store Day, 2016 on 25th of this month.

Unde the deal, the hit album will be available on vinyl for the first time after its original release on cassette in 1993 and will be priced at $19.98. The album is a parody of the classic Beatles album, Abbey Road and will include other parodies including Hey Jude, With a Little Help from my friends, Rebel Yell and Girls Want to Have Fun. The vinyl will be available in four different colours: Red, Yellow, Blue and Green.

Sesame Street composers Christopher Cerf, Jeff Moss, and Joe Raposo have contributed songs to the album, which feature the voices of Elmo, Cookie Monster, Bert and Ernie.

With this partnership, Entertainment One and Sesame Workshop aim to bring classic songs in a fun format to fans of all ages.”
