Mattel partners with Charlotte Olympia to create Charlotte Olympia inspired Barbie Doll

Mattel, an American multinational toy manufacturing company has partnered with Charlotte Olympia, a British luxury shoe and accessories brand founded by Charlotte Olympia Dellal to launch a Charlotte Olympia inspired Barbie doll that comes with its own shoes and accessories which was launched on 6th September, 2016.

The doll projects Charlotte Olympia bearing the look of 1950’s with a leopard print outfit and carefully matched red pumps, red Bogart leather bag and red gloves. The retro look is symbolic of the essence of the brand that comes from a bygone era.

The doll comes with a capsule collection of real-life accessories including Kitty flats, Eve platform sandals, transparent Pandora clutch box, Banana bag, gold spider web earrings, cat-eye sunglasses, pink leather clutch box with a gold Barbie logo clasp (Barbie Vanina), blush Perspex clutch box with magnetic miniature accessories (Barbie world) and a Charlotte Olympia shoebox. All these accessories accurately resemble the actual Charlotte Olympia collection with an intent to get people to recognize the doll as Charlotte Olympia as soon as they see it. The Leopard Bruce that’s a decorative in Charlotte Olympia shops also comes with the collection

In an exclusive interview with WWD, Charlotte Olympia Dellal expressed her excitement and called this collaboration as a childhood dream come true.
