Creative web design enhances user experience and helps convey ideas in a visually attractive manner.

Some of the recent trends in the UX experience are related to the presentation of the: a) Visual elements b) Interactive elements c) Content Management Systems

Emerging trends in UX design and web development are aimed at enhancing positive user experience and creative design presentation.

Some of the factors that visually engage customers are:

Mostly ‘Sans’ has been used for both headings and long copy or text content. Recent trends have seen use of bold ‘Serifs’ in headers and callouts. Serifs were designed to be decorative and are perfect for emphasis.

Color Scheme

Trends point to an increased use of two colors, such as black white, to create a ‘monochromatic’ look and provide a minimalistic demeanour. Use of color is very important and can create a unique look and impart mood to the web page while focusing on the brand identity. Use of fewer colors overall can give a cleaner look, better readability and make the multimedia elements stand out.

Designers are now turning towards natural shapes and smooth lines from systematic grids which were widely used in the past. This is done by using geometric structures such as squares, rectangles and triangles as also organic shapes that are asymmetrical. This provides depth to the design that makes page elements stand out.

Use of Glitch art to amplify a sense of disorientation gives the website a psychedelic look that stands out.

Video graphics not only diversify the page, create movement and also cater to an on-the-go audience. Multimedia adds depth to any viewpoint enhancing the impact of a string of thoughfully placed words.

As if to reinforce above trends, we have seen that Google has made a move toward mixed search page results, featuring video or interactive social media content above the links and summary. This has pushed websites to prioritize video production in order to become more searchable and offer shareable content.

Along with user interface and visual elements in web design, there is a growing use of the dynamic or interactive elements. Some of these are:

Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence is one of the core components of any digital transformation strategy. More companies are trying to implement digital transformation strategies, the role of artificial intelligence will grow even more central in web developments in the near future. Chatbots are an example of AI technology.

Single Page Applications (SPAs)

SPAs have caught on as they are relatively easier to navigate. A single page application is a long webpage that’s rid of intricate navigation and complex menus. SPAs run perfectly on both desktop and mobile devices and save time and energy. This is adapted as a minimalist design and it works for most people as customers don’t want to spend a lot of time looking for useful content.

Blockchain Technology

Blockchain technology is based on a peer-to-peer network of computers that stores data using a distributed ledger ensures data never gets compromised. Blockchain technology is increasingly gaining wider use in various industries. It facilitates the instantaneous authentication of massive transactions, and the streamlined management of supply chains, to mention but a few of it’s emerging applications. Today, industry leaders including IBM, Microsoft and Amazon are all developing their own blockchain technology platforms.

Motion UI

Web users are increasingly becoming more inclined to simple, yet captivating and interactive graphics on web pages. Evocative motion UI is replacing Static images and flash-based graphics and becoming all the rage these days.

Responsiveness and Adaptability

In order to reach a wider audience, most websites are being designed to be responsive and adaptable since web users are accessing the web through different types of devices. There is a growing need to engage the audience by making their websites and applications responsive.

One of the greatest concerns of the technologists are data breaches, data privacy infringement and confidentiality breaches. As a result, cybersecurity is poised to remain a dominant trend in web development in the nearest future forcing websites to change their approach to increased safety and close-knit programming.

Low Code Development

Low code development facilitates the rapid development of excellent websites without the need for proficient coding expertise by providing a faster and easier way to develop and deploy web developments and are increasingly being preferred by web development companies over the conventional development processes.

Web Content Management

Web content management provides website authoring, collaboration, and administration tools that help users with little knowledge of web programming languages or markup languages create and manage website content. It also provides the foundation for collaboration, providing users the ability to manage documents and output for multiple author editing and participation.

In addition to these key trends, we can expect to see technologies like Voice User Interface, AR, and IoT for Web gaining momentous traction in web developments in the coming year.
